Meal prep boxes should do one thing in particular in everyday life: store food safely, are comfortable to handle and make it practical to prepare multiple meals. The five boxes left a very neat and high-quality impression as soon as they were unpacked. They arrived in sturdy black packaging, neatly stacked inside and also protected by intermediate layers so that the glass containers arrived intact and without visible scratches.
Overall, the set proved to be very suitable for everyday use. The boxes fit well in the hand and are large enough for well-portioned meals. The tightness was particularly positive: The containers were filled to the top with water, shaken vigorously, held upside down and even stored overnight without liquid escaping. This speaks for convincing sealing during normal use around prepared meals and transportation.
Even when used and cleaned, the system is well thought-out. The boxes can be completely dismantled into their individual parts, which makes cleaning much easier. When first unpacked, the seal stuck slightly to the glass, but could be inserted correctly again within a few seconds and was therefore not a real problem in everyday life. In addition, the glass looks sturdy and high-quality. Even after two weeks of use with various foods, including greasier and color-intensive dishes or sauces, neither the plastic lid nor the glass showed any noticeable discolouration.
Another practical point concerns heating: The glass was still easy to touch even after being heated in the microwave, even though the food in it was already warm or hot. This further underlines the overall impression suitable for everyday use.
Conclusion from a consumer perspective: Overall, the meal prep boxes look high-quality, tight, well thought-out and practical. The secure closure, the easy disassembly for cleaning, the sturdy appearance of the glass and the portion size suitable for everyday use are particularly positive. Minor abnormalities, such as the initially slightly adhesive seal, barely change the overall very positive overall impression.
Consumer notice: As with glass containers in general, thermal shock should be avoided. Hot food should first cool down a bit before sealing and before a sharp change in temperature. Switching directly from hot to very cold or into the freezer compartment is not recommended to avoid material tension and possible glass damage.
